World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The item upgrade feature allows players to increase the item level of equippable weapons or armor. This improves the stats of that equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.

The amount of Gold required for upgrading increases when the item is upgraded to a higher level.
Upgraded items will also have improved stats that can improve its performance in various ways. This could include increasing its attack power, critical strike chance, or damage per second. A upgraded item can also add additional benefits to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades are able to increase the overall strength of a group or unit, and can significantly impact the gameplay.
The NPC for upgrading items can be located in the game. In general NPCs can be found in major cities or questing spots. You can also find upgrades for items by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses and talking to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.
The upgrade system for items in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the level of weapons, armor, and trinkets. Upgraded items could have additional modifiers that can improve their performance and boost their stats. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade cost.
